example的用法总结

　　set sb an example〔set an example to sb〕 的意思是“给某人树立榜样”; make an example of sb (for sth)的意思是“(因…)惩罚某人以儆效尤”。

　　for example的意思是“例如”或“譬如”,无论举出一个或几个例证, example都须用单数形式。常用作插入语,可缩写为e.g.。用了for example,就不宜再用etc.。
